Vita sales approach 5K in Japan as Dragon Quest XI dominates

A month ago it looked like the Vita would drop below 4,000 sales. Now it is pushing closer to 5,000. Which is just my trying to generate some excitement as the Vita remains flatlined in between those boundaries.

Still, it is up 400 on last week, with Kenka Bancho Otome breaking into the top 10 with almost 7,000 sales. A trio of games pepper the 3,000 sales mark at the bottom of the chart in the guise of: Wagamama High Spec from iMel, Grisaia no Kajitsu: Side Episode from Prototype and Idea Factory's Hiiro no Kakera.

I'll tastefully ignore Dragon Quest XI selling around 2.2 million across 3DS and PS4, even if Square did show off a Remote Play video to remind folk of the Vita. That launch managed to boost hardware sales by 4X to 5X on those platforms.
