The game (UPDATE: pics on its Facebook page), is slated for a 2015 release, and offers an Admiral's eye view of the Starlight universe (remember, the team is still supporting and updating the Vita game), with tactical and strategic decisions the order of the day. Former LucasArts alum, who worked on Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds, Garry Gaber says:
"Tactics promises to be something new and original - a game set in the Starlight universe that takes place at the capital ship level - players will be able to control both United Star Force and Non-Aligned Nations Destroyers, Cruisers and Carriers in two full campaigns, with a skirmish mode as well for players who just want to quickly jump into the action."In case the Vita version never makes it, the game is planned for iOS, PC, PS4 and other formats. I guess the engine support is down to the Unity team, who have a lot on their plate than to support a niche format like the Vita (its not like thousands of games rushed over when Unity support was first announced), but you never know!
